[Drug Name]

       Generic name: Diclofenac Sodium Enteric Coated Tablets

[Indications]

       1. Inflammatory and degenerative rheumatic diseases: rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, and spondyloarthritis, spine-related pain syndromes.

       2. Non-articular rheumatism: periarthritis (e.g., shoulder pain), tenosynovitis, bursitis, myalgia, and post-exercise traumatic pain.

       3. Acute gout attacks.

       4. Acute mild to moderate pain: postoperative pain (e.g., dental surgery), post-traumatic pain, strains; gynecological pain or inflammation (e.g., primary dysmenorrhea, adnexitis).

       5. Severe painful infections of the ear, nose, and throat as adjunctive therapy (e.g., pharyngotonsillitis, otitis). Underlying conditions should be treated according to standard medical practice.

[Usage and Dosage]

  ?   Administration: Swallow whole with liquid; do not break or chew. Preferably taken before meals.

  ?   Dosage: Adjust individually; use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible duration.

Adults:

  ?   Usual initial daily dose: 100–150 mg (4–6 tablets).

  ?   For milder cases or long-term therapy: 75–100 mg daily (3–4 tablets).

  ?   Daily dose divided into 2–3 doses.

  ?   To reduce nighttime pain and morning stiffness, tablets may be taken during the day with a suppository at bedtime (maximum daily dose: 150 mg).

For primary dysmenorrhea:

       Daily dose: 50–150 mg (2–6 tablets), divided doses. Initial dose 50–100 mg (2–4 tablets), which may be increased up to 200 mg (8 tablets) daily over several menstrual cycles if necessary. Treatment should begin at symptom onset and continue for several days as clinically indicated.

       Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to this product.
